🇪🇸 Gothic Quarter (Barcelona Cathedral)

Barri Gòtic (Catedral de Barcelona) · 바르셀로나

Location

Overview

The Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic) is the historic heart of Barcelona's old town, a labyrinth of narrow, winding medieval streets built atop the city's Roman walls. At its core stands Barcelona Cathedral (La Seu), a Catalan Gothic masterpiece built from the 13th to 15th centuries and dedicated to the city's co-patron saint, Eulalia. Between the cathedral, hidden squares, ancient ruins, and lively café-lined lanes, simply walking the quarter is a stroll through two thousand years of history.
