N Seoul Tower is a 236.7 m broadcasting and observation tower on the summit of Namsan mountain, opened to the public in 1980 and now one of Seoul's defining landmarks. Sitting atop the ~243 m peak, its decks give sweeping panoramas of the city center and the Han River, drawing visitors for both daytime views and the night skyline. Alongside the observatory are the famous 'love locks,' a revolving restaurant, and cafes.

Good to know
RulesNamsan restricts private vehicles, so regular taxis and rental cars cannot drive to the tower entrance. You must take the cable car, the Namsan circular shuttle (01A/01B), or walk up.
RulesThe 1F plaza and outdoor decks are free, but reaching the observatory inside the glass tower requires a separate observatory ticket (not included in the cable car fare).
SafetyThe shuttle buses and cable car often do not accept cash, so carry a T-money/transit card or a contactless card to avoid being stranded (confirm current payment methods).
SeasonThe summit is colder and windier than street level. Dress warmly in winter, and note that cable car or light operations can change in storms or high wind, so check the weather.
MannersThe deck and cable car get very crowded at sunset and on weekends/holidays. Allow extra time for lines and ticketing, and consider booking online in advance.
CautionTouts near the approach road or in Myeongdong may push overpriced 'package tickets'; buy from the official ticket booths/kiosks or an official reseller.
Practical info
Hours are roughly 10:00-22:30 on weekdays and 10:00-23:00 on weekends/holidays, with last entry about 30 minutes before closing (confirm latest). Observatory admission is around 21,000 KRW for adults and about 16,000 KRW for children/seniors (online booking discounts apply; confirm current prices). Getting there: from Myeongdong or Hoehyeon subway stations take the Namsan cable car (a free inclined elevator, 'Namsan Oreumi,' reaches the boarding station), the Namsan circular shuttle bus, or a walking trail of about 30 minutes.
