Location

Overview

Dotonbori is Osaka's most famous entertainment and street-food district, stretching along the Dotonbori canal in the Namba area of Chuo ward. Once a bustling theater quarter dating to the early 1600s, it is now defined by its dazzling neon and LED billboards, canal-side bridges, and nonstop crowds. It is the heart of Osaka's 'kuidaore' (eat-till-you-drop) food culture, famous for takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu.
