Overview

Kuromon Ichiba Market (ι»’ι–€εΈ‚ε ΄) is a roughly 580–600 m covered arcade in the Nipponbashi area of southern Osaka (Minami), famous for fresh seafood and nicknamed 'Osaka's Kitchen.' About 150 stalls sell tuna sashimi, sea urchin, grilled crab legs and oysters, takoyaki, fruit and more, all in one street. With roots going back over 200 years to the black gate of the former Enmyoji temple that gave it its name, it has in recent years become primarily a tourist-oriented street-food destination.
