Yeouido Hangang Park is one of Seoul's signature riverside parks, stretching along the Han River beside the finance and media district of Yeouido. It connects directly to Yeouinaru Station on Subway Line 5, making it highly accessible, and offers free activities such as cycling, walking, picnicking and river cruises. It is also the main stage for the spring cherry blossom festival and the autumn Seoul International Fireworks Festival.

SeasonThe outdoor pool and Cascade water playground operate in summer only, with the pool opening at night from mid-July. They are closed outside summer, so check current operating status before visiting.
RulesShade tents may only be set up in designated zones during allowed hours (roughly 09:00-19:00 in Apr-May & Sep-Oct, 09:00-20:00 in Jun-Aug) and must be removed within those hours; picnic mats are allowed anytime. Confirm the latest rules before you go.
SafetyThe Han River has current and depth, so swimming or entering the water outside the designated pool is dangerous and prohibited. Cycling paths often overlap with pedestrians, so ride slowly and watch lighting at night.
MannersSort and dispose of your trash after picnicking, and avoid loud speakers or rowdy drinking. Crowds are extremely heavy during the cherry blossom and fireworks festivals, so be considerate about saving space and noise.
RulesAn ID such as a passport is required to rent bikes. During peak festivals there are road controls and heavy parking shortages, so use public transit (Line 5 Yeouinaru Station).
