Nhà thờ Đức Bà Sài Gòn · 호치민

Location

Overview

The Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon is a red-brick Catholic cathedral built in 1877–1880 during French colonial rule, and is a defining landmark of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City. Modeled on Notre-Dame de Paris, much of its brick, tile and stained glass is reported to have been shipped from France. With its 'Our Lady of Peace' statue out front and twin bell towers, it forms one of the city's most photographed scenes alongside the neighboring Central Post Office and Book Street.
