Dinh Độc Lập · 호치민

Location

Overview

Independence Palace (Reunification Palace, Dinh Độc Lập) is a Special National Relic in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, completed in 1966 as the residence and office of South Vietnam's president. It is where the Vietnam War ended on 30 April 1975, when a North Vietnamese tank crashed through the gate and Saigon fell; the interior is preserved much as it looked that day.
