Ben Thanh Market (Chợ Bến Thành) is a covered market in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and one of the city's most iconic landmarks since it opened in 1914. Anchored by its French-colonial clock tower, it packs more than 1,400 stalls selling clothing, souvenirs, dried goods, spices and local food. By day it's a bustling indoor bazaar; after dusk the surrounding streets turn into a lively night market.
