Tokyo Tower is an iconic red-and-white lattice steel tower in Minato, Tokyo, completed in 1958 and standing about 333 m tall, inspired by the Eiffel Tower. Visitors can take in 360-degree views of Tokyo from two observation decks: the Main Deck at 150 m and the higher, tour-based Top Deck at 250 m. Its five-story base building, Foot Town, houses shops, restaurants, and attractions, and the tower is especially famous for its sunset and nighttime illuminated views.
Main Deck (150 m): a two-story observatory with 360-degree views of Tokyo and a 'Skywalk Window' glass floor that looks straight down.
Top Deck Tour (250 m): a reservation-based guided tour combining the Main Deck and Top Deck for higher, more panoramic views.
Nighttime 'Landmark Light' illumination: lit daily from sunset until midnight, with distinct summer and winter color versions.
Foot Town: the five-floor commercial complex at the tower's base with gift shops, restaurants, and exhibits.
A popular photo spot, often framed together with the nearby Zojoji Temple.
