A roughly 127-meter seaside suspension bridge in Busan's Seo-gu district, linking Amnam Park to Dongseom, a small uninhabited island just offshore. Destroyed by a typhoon around 1987, it was rebuilt and reopened in 2020 after 18 years; visitors come for the thrill of walking above the sea (about 25 m up) and sweeping views of cliffs and open water. The rounded far end lets you take in the islet and the sea in a full 360 degrees.
Highlights
A walk out over the sea to an uninhabited islet, reached via the Amnam Park trail
Sections of open steel-mesh flooring that make it feel like walking on the water
Panoramic views of rugged cliffs, the South Sea horizon, passing ships and the Busan skyline
A circular deck at the far end offering a 360-degree loop view of the islet
Golden nighttime illumination that lights the bridge up after dark
Easy to pair with Amnam Park and the Songdo Marine Cable Car (Busan Air Cruise) for a half-day
Good to know
SafetyParts of the deck are open steel grating, so high heels and pointed-heel shoes are not allowed; wear comfortable sneakers.
SafetyAccess can be closed for safety in strong wind or heavy rain, so check that it is open before you go.
RulesHiking poles and selfie sticks may be restricted to protect the bridge and other visitors (confirm on-site signage).
RulesIt may close on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and on major holidays such as Lunar New Year and Chuseok; verify current dates.
SeasonWind over the water is strong and feels colder than inland, so bring a windproof layer, especially in winter.
MannersThe 2-meter-wide deck gets crowded, so step to one side for photos and avoid running or deliberately shaking the bridge.
