Songdo Beach is Korea's first public beach, opened in 1913, on the coast of Seo-gu in Busan. True to its name (meaning 'island of pines'), it pairs a compact sandy shore with an over-the-sea cable car and a curved coastal skywalk (the Cloud Trails). It is a favorite seaside stroll close to the city center.
