Overview

Samcheong-dong is a neighborhood in Jongno-gu, Seoul, just east of Gyeongbokgung Palace and next to Bukchon Hanok Village, where traditional hanok houses blend with contemporary galleries and cafes. Along Samcheong-ro, art galleries such as Kukje and Hakgojae cluster on what is nicknamed 'Gallery Street,' and with hanok-converted cafes, boutiques, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) Seoul nearby, it is often called one of Seoul's most walkable streets.
