Nanji Hangang Park is a riverside eco-park on the Han River in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and one of five World Cup Parks created to mark the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Stretching about 3.1 km, it combines grassy lawns, an ecological wetland, cycling paths, and a summer water play area. It is best known as one of the very few Han River parks with an official campground offering glamping, barbecue, and campfire zones.

RulesNanji campsites are prepaid, online-reservation only via Seoul's public reservation site (yeyak.seoul.go.kr)—no on-site or phone booking. Check current opening dates and fees before your trip.
SeasonThe riverside water play area opens only in high summer (in 2026 roughly late June to end of August, with separate evening hours). Always confirm that year's dates and hours before visiting.
SafetyAs a low-lying riverside park, trails and parking lots can be closed or flooded when the Han River rises during summer heavy rain or typhoons. Avoid the waterfront during weather warnings.
MannersCooking and open flames are only allowed in designated camping/barbecue zones; pack out your trash and observe quiet/lights-out hours to respect other visitors and nature.
SeasonThe park is long (3.1 km) and mostly open lawn with little shade—prepare for strong sun and heat in summer, while river winds make it very cold in winter.
Practical info
About a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of World Cup Stadium Station (Subway Line 6). Park entry is free (camping, the water park and parking are charged separately). Confirm fees, hours and reservation rules with the Hangang authority/public reservation site before you go.
