Location

Overview

The Mirador del Valle is a free viewpoint on the hill south of Toledo's old town, across the Tagus (Tajo) River, widely rated as the best panorama of the city. From here you take in the whole river-wrapped old town, including the Cathedral bell tower, the Alcázar fortress, and the twin towers and dome of the Jesuit Church, in a view that recalls El Greco's famous 'View of Toledo.' It is stunning by day in golden stone and again at night when the city is lit.
