🇪🇸 Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba (Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba)

Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba · 코르도바 (Córdoba)

Location

Overview

The Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba is a globally unique UNESCO World Heritage site where a 16th-century Catholic cathedral was built directly inside an 8th-century Islamic mosque, so both architectures coexist under one roof. Its endless 'forest' of red-and-white horseshoe arches and its ornate mihrab are icons of Spain, and it is the country's third most-visited monument. It remains an active Catholic cathedral holding Mass, so a dress code and service times affect how and when you can visit.
