Miniatur Wunderland · 함부르크

Location

Overview

Miniatur Wunderland is the world's largest model railway, housed in a red-brick warehouse in Hamburg's UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt (warehouse district). Built to 1:87 (H0) scale, it recreates Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Scandinavia, America, Monaco and South America in astonishing detail, with a day-and-night lighting cycle every 15 minutes, self-driving cars and model planes that actually take off and land. 2026 marks its 25th anniversary, with newly opening South America areas (rainforest, Andes and Atacama) rolling out through the year, giving even repeat visitors fresh things to see. It is one of Hamburg's must-see indoor attractions, easily absorbing several hours for children and adults alike.
