Location

Overview

At 3,147m, Fansipan is the highest peak in Indochina, located in the Hoang Lien Son range near Sapa. A cable car β€” the world's longest three-rope system β€” opened in 2016 and now reaches near the summit, but the traditional two-to-three-day trek starting from Tram Ton Pass or Sin Chai village remains popular. During the June-August rainy season, leeches and landslide risk increase sharply, making spring and autumn the better trekking seasons.
