🇭🇷 Dubrovnik Old Town (Stradun)

Stari grad Dubrovnik · 두브로브니크

Location

Overview

Dubrovnik Old Town is a walled city on the Adriatic coast, the historic heart of the medieval Republic of Ragusa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Running through its center is Stradun (Placa), a roughly 300-meter limestone-paved main street rebuilt in a uniform Baroque style after the catastrophic 1667 earthquake. In 2026 Dubrovnik has been named a European Green Pioneer of Smart Tourism and is tightening overtourism controls—capping cruise ships at two per day—so early mornings and evenings offer a far calmer walk. Famous worldwide as the 'King's Landing' filming location for Game of Thrones, it draws crowds from across the globe.
