The ArtScience Museum is a lotus-shaped landmark art museum at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, designed by architect Moshe Safdie and opened in 2011. Nicknamed the "Welcoming Hand of Singapore," its ten petals (or "fingers") house galleries that blend art, science, technology and culture. Its signature draw is teamLab's permanent immersive digital exhibition, Future World.
Future World: Where Art Meets Science, teamLab's permanent immersive exhibition spanning Nature, Town, Park and Space themes with interactive digital installations
Crystal Universe, a room of thousands of LEDs that evokes floating through deep space, and the Sketch Aquarium where children's drawings come to life
Digital Light Canvas, a 4D LED floor-and-light sculpture
The eco-conscious Rain Oculus, which channels harvested rainwater through a central opening to create an indoor waterfall
Rotating special exhibitions, including the 2026 premiere "Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath" in collaboration with OceanX
Good to know
RulesFlash, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed inside. Some temporary exhibitions ban photography entirely, so check the signage in each gallery.
RulesStrollers and wheelchairs cannot enter the Future World galleries; use the designated stroller parking near the entrance. You may be asked to carry large backpacks when it is busy, and free luggage storage is available at the Level 1 information counter.
RulesSingapore enforces strict fines. Eating or drinking on the MRT and buses (up to S$500), littering, importing or selling chewing gum, jaywalking, and drinking in public late at night can all incur penalties, so take care while getting around.
SeasonThe climate is hot and humid year-round with frequent afternoon downpours. The galleries are indoors, but air-conditioning runs cold, so bring a light layer. Weekends, public holidays, December and the summer peak get very crowded.
SafetyWeekday mornings just after the 10am opening, or after 4pm, are the quietest. Popular interactive zones can build queues, so booking online in advance helps you skip lines.
CautionBuy only from the official website, the on-site box office, or authorized reselling platforms. Be wary of suspiciously cheap unofficial tickets or touts. Prices vary by visitor category and by weekday versus weekend, so confirm the latest fare before booking.
