Overview

On the Whitsunday Islands inside the Great Barrier Reef, a dazzling beach of 98% pure silica sand. It is famous for the swirling white sand and turquoise water of Hill Inlet.

Good to know

SeasonThe dry season (May–Sep) is best; in the wet season (Nov–Mar) wear a stinger suit due to jellyfish.
·There are almost no facilities on the island — bring your own water, food, shade and sunscreen.
RulesIt is a marine park — removing sand/coral and touching wildlife is prohibited.
