🇨🇭 Walker's Haute Route (Chamonix–Zermatt)

Walker's Haute Route (Chamonix to Zermatt) · 스위스·프랑스 알프스 (발레주)

Location

Overview

The Walker's Haute Route links Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland over roughly 180km and 11-12 days, crossing more than ten passes above 2,700m. It threads through a succession of Swiss Valais valleys - Val de Bagnes, Val d'Hérens, and Val d'Anniviers - each with distinct dialects and architecture, offering views of over ten 4,000m peaks including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and the Weisshorn. Unlike the spring ski-mountaineering 'Glacier Haute Route' that crosses glaciers, this walking version can generally be done without glacier gear.
