Overview
The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade is a roughly 1 km waterfront walkway along Victoria Harbour in Kowloon, Hong Kong, incorporating the Avenue of Stars that honours the Hong Kong and Chinese film industries. It reopened in January 2019 after a three-year redesign that added far more shade, seating and greenery for comfort. It is one of the best free vantage points for Hong Kong Island's skyline and nightly light show.

CautionTsim Sha Tsui is a hotspot for touts pushing fake luxury watches and jewellery. Ignore taxi drivers or touts steering you to 'wholesale' or 'outlet' showrooms; if buying, use shops with the Hong Kong Tourism Board's QTS mark and get a detailed receipt.
CautionCamera and electronics shops in TST and Mong Kok are known for bait-and-switch: a headline low price, then 'out of stock/defective' pressure to buy a pricier off-brand. Confirm model, price and stock before paying.
SafetyNearby Chungking Mansions is not dangerous but has very persistent touts for tailoring, copy phones and currency exchange. Decline politely, keep aware of your belongings and situational awareness.
SeasonJune to September is hot and humid (80–90%), and July–September is typhoon season. When Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or higher, or a Red/Black Rainstorm Warning, is in force at or after 3 pm, the Symphony of Lights is cancelled that evening (check the latest Hong Kong Observatory warnings).
MannersThe handprint plaques and statues are popular photo spots that get crowded on evenings and weekends. Don't monopolise spots such as the Bruce Lee statue; take turns for photos.

Open 24/7 and free. Reach it via MTR Tsim Sha Tsui (Exit J or L6) or East Tsim Sha Tsui station; from Hong Kong Island the Star Ferry is handy (Central–TST approx. 9 min, Wan Chai–TST approx. 8 min). Arrive before 8:00 pm for the light show. Confirm current hours, fares and show status before visiting.
