Location

Overview

Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh Province is a UNESCO mixed World Heritage Site (inscribed 2014, Vietnam's first mixed property), famed for its karst limestone peaks, emerald waterways, caves and temples—earning it the nickname 'Halong Bay on land.' It lies about 100 km south of Hanoi and roughly 7 km from Ninh Binh city. The signature experience is a rowing-boat (sampan) tour, paddled by local villagers, that winds through river caves, valleys and shrines.
