Location

Overview

Tanah Lot is a Hindu sea temple perched on a rocky islet off the coast of Tabanan, Bali, famous for appearing to float on the sea at high tide. Founded in the 16th century by the priest Dang Hyang Nirartha, it is one of seven sea temples believed to guard Bali's coastline. Its dramatic silhouette against a glowing sky makes it the island's most popular sunset spot.
