Location

Overview

Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) in Wattens, Tyrol, is a crystal-themed art and experience attraction created by artist André Heller for Swarovski's 100th anniversary and open to the public since 1995. Its icons are the water-spouting "Giant" (Der Riese) that guards the entrance, 18-plus underground "Chambers of Wonder" staged by international artists, and the outdoor Crystal Cloud of more than 800,000 hand-set crystals floating above a black mirror pool. Having marked its 30th anniversary in 2025 with new installations, including one by Chiharu Shiota, it remains a popular, family-friendly half-day stop in 2026. It is easily reached by shuttle from Innsbruck, making it a natural half-day addition to a Tyrol itinerary.
