Overview

Songjeong Beach sits on the eastern edge of Busan's Haeundae district and ranks among the city's three major eastern beaches alongside Haeundae and Gwangalli. Its shallow, gently sloping shore makes it great for families, and it is celebrated as the birthplace of surfing in Korea, drawing surfers year-round. Jukdo Park at the beach's edge offers pine groves and the octagonal Songiljeong pavilion for strolls and sea views.

Practical info

Public transit is recommended: about a 17-minute walk from Songjeong Station on the Donghae Line, or take Metro Line 2 to Haeundae Station and transfer to a bus (get off at the Songjeong Beach entrance). Parking is very tight in peak summer, so arrive early. Confirm the latest opening dates, rental fees and parking rates before you go.
