Overview

Singapore Zoo is an award-winning, open-concept rainforest zoo in the northern Mandai area, where natural moats and lush landscaping replace bars and cages for a strong sense of openness. It is famous for the world's first free-ranging orangutan habitat, and home to more than 300 species including elephants, giraffes and white tigers, making it a favorite for families. Together with the neighboring Night Safari, River Wonders and Bird Paradise, it forms the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Hours are generally 08:30-18:00 (last entry around 17:00) but may vary by season, so check the official site before visiting. By public transport, take the Mandai shuttle from Khatib MRT, or bus 138 from Springleaf MRT. Prices, hours and feeding/show schedules all require latest confirmation.
