Location

Overview

Shenzhen Bay Park (深圳湾公园) is a free public waterfront park stretching roughly 13 km along the northern shore of Shenzhen Bay, spanning Nanshan and Futian districts. It combines the Mangrove Coastal Eco-Park (built in 2000) with the Shenzhen Bay coastal leisure belt that opened in August 2011 for the Summer Universiade, and is divided into 14 themed zones including the Universiade Torch Tower, Egret Slope and Zhongwan Yuehai Plaza. Facing Hong Kong's New Territories across the bay and sitting on the Siberia-Australia migratory flyway, it draws around 12 million visits a year and functions as Shenzhen's default walking, running and sunset spot. Treat it as a half-day urban shoreline stroll rather than a ticketed attraction.
