Overview
Setas de Sevilla, better known as Metropol Parasol, is a vast timber structure of six connected mushroom-shaped parasols in Seville's old town, on Plaza de la Encarnación, and is widely billed as the world's largest wooden structure. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer and completed in 2011, its shape earned the local nickname 'Las Setas' (the mushrooms), which became the official name. A rooftop skywalk offers sweeping 360-degree views over the cathedral and historic center.
