섭지코지 · 제주

Location

Overview

Seopjikoji is a cape (koji in Jeju dialect) stretching into the sea on the eastern coast of Jeju, in Sinyang-ri, Seongsan-eup. Once an island, it is now a land-tied island connected to Jeju by a sandbar, offering dramatic sea cliffs, grassy meadows, spring canola blossoms and autumn silver grass, all set against the backdrop of Seongsan Ilchulbong. Free and open year-round, it is a beloved coastal walking spot famous as a filming location for the Korean drama All In.

Practical info

Free entry, open year-round. Parking is at a paid public lot (small cars roughly 1,000 KRW for the first 30 min, up to about 3,000 KRW per day - confirm current rates). It is about 1 km from the lot to the Glass House, and the full stroll takes 1-2 hours. There is no direct bus, so a rental car is easiest; by public transit, get off at Seongsan or Ojo and take a call taxi (verify fares and times).
