Overview One of the Caribbean's premier surf regions, Rincón is famous for the powerful waves generated by winter North Atlantic swells traveling down through the Lesser Antilles. Multiple reef and point breaks cluster here, including Tres Palmas, Domes, and María's, and the town hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship. It's about a two-hour drive from San Juan.
