🇮🇸 Perlan

Perlan · 레이캬비크

Location

Overview

Perlan ("The Pearl") is a natural-history museum crowning Öskjuhlíð hill above Reykjavík, where a glass dome sits atop six geothermal hot-water tanks. A city landmark since 1991, it was expanded into the interactive "Wonders of Iceland" experience and is best known for the world's first man-made ice cave and its northern-lights planetarium. Named a TripAdvisor "Best of the Best" attraction three years running (2022-2024), it remains fully open in 2026. Because it packs Iceland's nature into a single indoor visit, it is an ideal stop for a first day or a bad-weather day.
