Paşabağ (Monks Valley), also spelled Paşabağları, is a natural site near Avanos in Cappadocia famed for the region's densest cluster of multi-headed "mushroom" fairy chimneys—soft volcanic tuff sculpted by erosion into stalks capped by harder basalt. Early Christian hermits carved cells and chapels into the cones, giving the valley its "Monks" or "Hermit's" name. It lies within the UNESCO World Heritage "Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia" (1985), and as of 2026 shares a combined ticket with the nearby Zelve Open-Air Museum. A flat, easy loop lets you take in the highlights in 30–60 minutes, making it a staple of Cappadocia's northern (Red) tour.

SafetyPaths are sandy and gravelly, and climbing on the chimneys is prohibited and dangerous—wear grippy flat shoes and keep to marked trails.
SeasonMidsummer (Jun–Aug) is intensely hot with almost no shade; bring a hat, sunscreen and water and visit early or late. Winter brings cold and snow with shorter opening hours.

Hours are roughly 08:00–19:00 in summer and 08:00–17:00 in winter, on a combined ticket with Zelve (about €12 for foreign visitors), but confirm fees and hours on the official site before visiting.
