Most common route: Odakyu Line from Shinjuku to Hakone-Yumoto, then Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora, cable car to Sounzan, and the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani. Ropeway hours are roughly 9:00 to 17:00 (Feb-Nov) and 9:00 to 16:15 (Dec-Jan), subject to season, inspections, weather, and volcanic conditions, so verify the latest status. When the ropeway is suspended, you can reach the Owakudani parking lot by car or substitute bus.
