🇯🇵 Odori Park

大通公園 · 삿포로

Location

Overview

Odori Park is a ribbon-like green corridor that slices east–west through downtown Sapporo for about 1.5 km. Originally created in 1871 as a firebreak, it now serves as the city's best-loved public space, running across roughly 12 blocks from Nishi (West) 1-chome to 12-chome and divided into five theme zones. The iconic Sapporo TV Tower anchors its eastern end, and a rolling calendar of festivals—the Snow Festival, Lilac Festival, YOSAKOI Soran, and the White Illumination—gives the park a completely different character in every season.
