Location

Overview

Nebuta Museum WA RASSE is a city-run museum that opened in 2011, located about a one-minute walk from the east exit of JR Aomori Station. It displays several of the massive illuminated Nebuta floats actually used in Aomori's summer Nebuta Matsuri festival, exhibited in a darkened hall so visitors can experience their scale and glow year-round. The museum also presents the festival's roughly 300-year history through images, video, and sound.
