🇰🇷 Naejangsan National Park

內藏山國立公園 · 전북 정읍

Location

Overview

Naejangsan National Park in Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province, is widely regarded as Korea's top autumn foliage destination, where maple-covered slopes turn a brilliant red in late autumn. Sheltered in a valley ringed by peaks such as Sinseonbong (763 m), the park packs Uhwajeong Pavilion, a famous maple tunnel, and Naejangsa Temple into an area you can enjoy without a strenuous hike. In peak season it draws tens of thousands of visitors a day, making it one of Korea's most crowded natural landmarks.

Practical info

From Seoul, take the KTX to Jeongeup Station (about 1.5–2 hours), then local bus #171 (about 30 minutes; taxi also about 30 minutes). Entrance/parking fees, cable-car prices, and operating hours vary by season and year, so confirm the latest details with the Korea National Park Service and the official cable-car operator before visiting.
