Overview

The Reina Sofía is Spain's national museum of 20th-century and contemporary art in Madrid, best known as the permanent home of Picasso's anti-war masterpiece 'Guernica.' It occupies the former hospital Sabatini Building plus a glass-and-steel extension designed by Jean Nouvel, and together with the Prado and Thyssen it forms Madrid's 'Golden Triangle of Art.' Its collection also spans Spanish modern masters such as Dalí, Miró, and Juan Gris.
