🇫🇷 Rodin Museum

Musée Rodin · 파리

Location

Overview

The Rodin Museum occupies the Hôtel Biron, a Rococo mansion the sculptor Auguste Rodin used as a studio from 1908, together with a sculpture garden of nearly three hectares; it opened in 1919 on the basis of the works and collections Rodin bequeathed to France in 1916. It is one of Paris's finest sculpture museums, letting you see landmark modern works such as The Thinker, The Gates of Hell, The Burghers of Calais and The Kiss both indoors and in the garden. As of 2026 a temporary structure occupies part of the sculpture garden and limits access to some areas, though the artworks remain visible; the museum's Meudon annex reopens the weekend of 28–29 March, and from April to September the Louvre hosts the 'Michelangelo–Rodin' exhibition in collaboration with the Rodin Museum. Because the garden gets very busy on weekends and in high season (April–October), book a timed slot on the official website and aim for a morning visit.
