Molundae (ζ²ι²θΊ) is a scenic coastal headland beside Dadaepo Beach in Saha-gu, Busan, designated Busan Metropolitan City Monument No. 27 and part of the Busan National Geopark. Once an island called 'Moluundo' until the 16th century, it became a tombolo linked to the mainland by silt from the Nakdong River; its name refers to how fog and clouds often shroud the area. It is a battlefield of the 1592 Japanese invasions and one of Busan's finest sunset spots.

RulesAs a military-controlled area, night entry and passage are restricted. Seasonal opening hours (roughly 05:00-20:00 in summer, 06:00-18:00 in winter) should be reconfirmed before visiting.
SafetyCliffs and rock outcrops such as Hwasondae are dangerous beyond the railings. Wave-washed rocks are slippery, so avoid stepping onto them.
SeasonTrue to its name, fog and clouds frequently roll in and can obscure the sunset view. For sunsets, check the day's clear-weather forecast and sunset time and arrive with time to spare.
SafetyThe forest paths and areas near the entrance and Hwasondae are sloped, so wear non-slip shoes. Lighting is limited, so descend before closing time.
MannersThis is a geological and nature protection zone: do not damage or collect rocks, fossils, or plants, and stay on the designated trails.
Practical info
About a 5-10 minute walk from Dadaepo Beach Station (Subway Line 1); roughly 40 minutes from Nampo-dong. Free admission (reconfirm latest). The nearby Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dream runs seasonally (about April-October), so check the schedule.
