🇬🇧 Old Trafford Stadium

Old Trafford · 맨체스터

Location

Overview

Old Trafford, opened in 1910, is the home of Premier League giants Manchester United and, at around 74,000 seats, the largest club football stadium in the United Kingdom — famously nicknamed the 'Theatre of Dreams.' On non-match days visitors can take a guided tour of the players' tunnel, dressing rooms and pitchside, and explore a museum with over 1,000 exhibits, making it a draw for casual travellers as well as football fans. In March 2025 the club unveiled plans for a new 100,000-seat stadium right beside it, and by June 2026 had secured most of the required land — so the chance to experience the current Old Trafford is now finite, adding to the appeal of a visit.

Practical info

The easiest access from central Manchester is by Metrolink tram — use the 'Old Trafford' stop on the Altrincham line, right by the ground, or the 'Wharfside' stop on the Trafford Park line, about a 10-minute walk away. Tour and museum hours are typically Sun–Thu 09:30–16:00 and Fri–Sat 09:30–17:00 but the venue closes on home match days; opening times and prices can change, so confirm the latest details on the official website before visiting.
