SeasonSummer midday tops 35°C with almost no shade in the valley. April–June and September–November are best for hiking; in summer go at sunrise or sunset and always carry water, a hat and sunscreen.
SafetyTrails are rocky, uneven and can be slippery, so wear sturdy hiking shoes and take care near cliff edges at the viewpoint and along the valley.
