Starting from Syabrubesi, about 7-8 hours by road from Kathmandu, this trek through Langtang National Park is one of the most accessible Himalayan routes from the capital. A massive landslide triggered by the 2015 earthquake buried the entire village of Langtang, killing roughly 350 people, though the trail has since been rebuilt. The trek's high point, Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m), offers a face-on view of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and immerses trekkers in the Tibetan Buddhist culture of the Tamang and Hyolmo communities.
