🇬🇷 Kleftiko (Milos)

Κλέφτικο, Μήλος · 그리스 키클라데스 밀로스

Location

Overview

Kleftiko sits at the southwestern tip of Milos in the Greek Cyclades, a former pirate hideout of chalk-white volcanic pillars, arches and sea caves that rise up to 20 m above the water. There are no roads in, so you reach it only by boat from Adamas port or Agia Kyriaki beach, then snorkel through caves and arches in water so clear that visibility regularly tops 20 m — one of the most popular snorkel outings in the Cyclades. It is not a tropical coral reef; expect sea urchins, octopus and the occasional sea turtle, with the volcanic topography and glowing aquamarine water as the real draw. As of 2026 it is still served mainly by licensed boat tours, with no facilities on site.

Practical info

Kleftiko is about 45 minutes from Adamas port (closer from Agia Kyriaki beach) and is reached only by half-day speedboat or full-day sailing tour, which usually include masks, fins, snacks and a freshwater shower. The season is May–October (weather permitting), with June–September best for snorkeling. Fares, departure times, included gear and cancellation policies vary with season and weather, so confirm the latest details before booking.
