Overview
This trek brings you face-to-face with Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the world's third-highest peak, in the remote Taplejung region of far eastern Nepal, drawing far fewer visitors than Everest or Annapurna. There are two base camps β Pangpema to the north and Oktang (roughly 4,730m) to the south β with the southern route offering a direct view of Kanchenjunga's south face from Oktang. The trail spans everything from lowland Limbu and Rai villages to high alpine terrain and typically takes 20 days or more.
