Overview

Australia's largest national park (about 20,000 km²) and a dual natural-and-cultural UNESCO World Heritage Site. A wild land of wetlands, waterfalls, sandstone escarpments and Aboriginal rock art thousands of years old.

The image was taken by a member of the Expedition 52 crew. The image has been cropped and enhanced to improve contrast, and lens artifacts have been removed. SafetySaltwater crocodiles live here — stay out of the water except at designated safe spots; take great care fishing or camping near water.
SeasonMost roads and falls open in the dry (May–Oct); the wet season floods roads and limits access.
·It is huge — allow at least 2–3 days. Access by car (4WD recommended) from Darwin.
