Iseltwald is a tiny village of about 400 residents on the southern shore of Lake Brienz (Brienzersee), whose glacial meltwater gives it a striking turquoise color, in the Bernese Oberland near Interlaken. It shot to fame across Korea and Asia after the wooden pier (Steg) here featured in the Netflix K-drama 'Crash Landing on You,' making it one of Switzerland's most visited filming locations. Because of the crowds, a turnstile and an access fee (around CHF 5) were introduced at the pier in 2023 and remain in place as of 2026. Beyond the pier selfie, the turquoise lake, lakeside paths, and the trail to Giessbach Falls make it a rewarding half-day outing.

SeasonBoats generally run spring to autumn and are much reduced in winter. The designated swimming area is roughly open May–September. The lake is glacier-fed and stays very cold even in midsummer.

Take PostBus line 103 from Interlaken Ost/West to 'Iseltwald, Dorfplatz' (about 20–30 min), or the BLS boat from Interlaken Ost (about 45 min, mainly spring–autumn). The village and lakeshore are open at all times; the filming-spot pier charges a turnstile fee (around CHF 5), so verify the latest fare, boat timetable, and pass validity before you go.
