🇳🇿 Hot Water Beach

Hot Water Beach · 뉴질랜드 북섬 코로만델 반도

Location

Overview

A beach on New Zealand's Coromandel Peninsula where geothermal water rises through the sand at low tide, letting visitors dig their own soaking pool with a spade. The underground geothermal water reaches up to 64°C, so temperatures vary sharply within the same dug pool depending on where you sit. Digging is only possible in the roughly two-hour window around low tide.
