Location

Overview

Hantangang River Jusangjeolli-gil is a 3.6 km cliffside plank walkway (jandΠΎ, about 1.5 m wide) clinging to the gorge walls of the Hantan River in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, and a signature site of the Hantangang UNESCO Global Geopark. It lets you walk right against and out over the columnar-jointed basalt cliffs formed by cooling lava, with a glass-floored sky observatory jutting over the river for a dizzying view straight down to the water.
