Location

Overview

Haenggung-dong Mural Village is a cluster of old alleys in Paldal-gu, Suwon, between Hwaseong Fortress and Hwaseomun Gate. Around 2010, residents, civic groups, and artists revived the run-down lanes by covering walls, stairs, and even mailboxes and pipes with colorful murals and playful sculptures. Today it is a popular walking stop that pairs naturally with a Hwaseong Fortress visit.
